How to Protect your PC from Viruses

In today’s world, everyone is using Internet. They are downloading and exchanging files without knowing that the things they are downloading are from the safe site (trustworthy). Everybody has to be careful about using the Internet, if you are not careful your computer can end up with the nasty viruses that makes your corrupted, crashes your computer, or most of the all, destroys your operating system, that is too annoying.

Install an Antivirus Program: Installing an antivirus and keeping it up to date will help you a lot to protect your computer from viruses. It scans for viruses into your whole operating system’s files, if they found any file corrupted or containing any type of malware, it will delete them.

Use a firewall: A firewall can alert you from suspicious activities like if a virus or worm attempts to connect in your computer. It can also block viruses, Trojans and hackers from attempting to download harmful programs to your computer. 

Don’t open email attachments unless you’re expecting them: Many viruses are attached with the email messages and will spread as soon as you open the attachments. So it is best not to open any attachment unless knowing who is sending this file and why?

Keep your system updated: Microsoft releases security updates that can help you to protect your computer, so that make sure that you have “turned on” the setting of Automatically Updates Microsoft Security in settings. 

Browser’s privacy settings: Don’t allow your web browser to automatically run programs, such as MS Word or other programs through the email program. Set your browser setting to launch the WordPad or Notepad instead.

It is also necessary to being aware about how the unsecured websites can use your private information and they might be used against fraud and identity theft. It can be protected if you are using Internet Explorer, you can adjust your settings or restore the default settings.

If you follow these steps your computer will be safe from viruses and malware. And if there are no viruses in your pc then obviously your computer will work faster and have a long life then the other’s computer.
